This page is currently under construction. Kamara clothing was a side project to my first business. I wanted to start something that would be a real challenge to stretch my understanding of the power of brand. It made no financial sense to try and create a mass produced product that could be stacked on shelves and wanted to do something a little closer to home where the heart is.
So one night while taking a poo I experienced the light bulb moment and as soon as nature willing ran for pen and paper. I jotted down my challenge; create a clothing label. This sounds easy right, but I tell you it was one of the hardest business ventures I’ve so far put myself through. From the humble beginnings of freehand sketches; producing homemade shirts with iron on transfers & burning myself; creating the business model; ordering garments & negotiating stock deals; creating the first line of clothing; trawling the net and frog marching shop to shop for buyers; creating the website; dealing with celebrities and selling the brand online and at Camden Market; this journey was no usual affair...
